Sarah spends a great deal of time in the snow each year. She has been working in the field of snow and snow science since 1998, when she started as a ski patroller at Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, MT. As an owner of the American Avalanche Institute, Sarah teaches avalanche courses throughout the west. AAI is the oldest avalanche education school in the country, and Sarah is proud to continue the tradition of excellent, hands-on experiential education that Rod Newcomb built the company on.

As an AMGA certified ski mountaineering guide, Sarah ski guides for the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, as well as for Exum Mountain Guides. Her love for skiing is what she offers to her clients, wearing a grin from ear to ear as she shares the outdoors with others.

As spring comes around, Sarah heads north and guides mountaineering trips on Denali and in the Northwest.

Sarah has a passion for skiing, as well as rock climbing, road biking, laughing with friends and family, working hard, and training hard at Mountain Athlete.
